Linked Paddocks allow a user to modify data in one management zone (the Parent) which then copies that information into one or several other selected paddocks with identical management. For this to be used, subordinate paddocks should have identical inputs as the parent, including Crop, Variety, Irrigation, Soil Health, Chems etc. This will copy of the Parent each time it is modified, and is used in Plan mode only. Linked subordinate paddocks cannot be modified, they are Locked. This can be used as a very effective tool to copy all data from one paddock to another, either perpetually or as a once off. In this once off the paddocks would be linked, then unlinked again, so data is copied then all paddocks could once again be modified. Linked Paddocks can also be grouped in the General Report by using the General (Linked) Report type. This collates the Paddock Summaries by listing grouped paddocks then their inputs, rather than one paddock at a time.
Your Paddock has now been linked to the Parent paddock selected. Repeat steps above for additional subordinate paddocks.
When Paddocks are linked the subordinate paddocks become locked for modification. An attempt will create an error - "Cannot Change Linked Details". Deleting the Link or un-Linking paddocks will prevent future changes that are made to the Parent from copying to the subordinate, but will not undo any of the changes that have been copied to date.
This subordinate paddock has now been un-Linked from the Parent. Repeat steps above for additional subordinate paddocks as necessary.
